TRAIL NOTES

Welcome to the Esperance Arts & Culture Trail

Esperance Community Arts is very pleased to present the 2018 Esperance Arts & Culture Trail.

The printed guidebook provides a snapshot of the wide range of the arts and cultural activities that help to make our community vibrant.

Additional listings are also available right here, on the Esperance Arts & Culture Trail website. This allows individual artists, businesses and groups who do not have a venue to be part of the project. We look forward to seeing this online resource grow over time as more people become aware of the project.

The variety of art forms and the number of participants included in this project are a testament to the important contribution that arts and culture make to individual and community well-being. It also builds a picture of the economic contribution associated with arts and cultural activities.

This new trail expands on the Esperance Arts Trail established over ten years ago by Esperance Community Arts. It is designed to link in with the bigger Goldfields-Esperance Arts and Culture Trail currently being developed by Artgold.

Special thanks are due to Project manager Alana Ostle, who worked hard to gather together a broad selection of participating artists, arts groups and arts-related venues and businesses, representative of the diverse interests in our community.

Thanks also to our designer Kathryn Hayes, whose conscientious approach and creative vision allowed us to deliver an excellent outcome on time.

We are also grateful to the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions fund for their investment of $20,000 in regional arts development.

We hope you enjoy this resource and that you will encourage others to use it too.
